To protect your privacy, now it is supported to enable Passcode lock on Android/Web/Mac/PWA. So when people borrow your phone or computer, you can avoid them peeking at your MEMOs.

Please note: Passcode lock is different from the encrypted storage. If there is someone hacking your phone or computer, he can still see your records by cracking your password. So please ensure you have a safe environment.

Passcode Lock on the phone

When the Passcode Lock is enabled, flomo will auto-start the Passcode Lock to protect your privacy after you lock the screen or act nothing for a while. flomo will be unlocked until you enter the passcode.

P.S. It is still under development on iOS.

How to enable Passcode on the phone

You can enable Passcode Lock by Settings - Account - Passcode.

Please note your passcode is stored locally. If you forget the passcode, you can’t retrieve it. But you can re-install flomo to solve this problem.

Currently, there are four types of lock settings:

  • Lock immediately

  • Auto-lock after 1 minute

  • Auto-lock after 3 minutes

  • Auto-lock after 5 minute

Passcode Lock on the web

When the Passcode Lock is enabled, flomo will auto-start the Passcode Lock to protect your privacy after you are away for a while or refresh the page.

How to enable Passcode on the web

You can enable the Passcode through Settings - Account - Passcode. You don’t have to set up a new one. The Passcode is your password. If you forget it, you can retrieve it by clicking β€œForgot password”.

Currently, there are five types of lock settings on the web:

  • Lock immediately

  • Lock when refreshing the page

  • Auto-lock after 1 minute

  • Auto-lock after 3 minutes

  • Auto-lock after 5 minute
